The Jurors of the Lord the King who have been this day chosen by the Deputy Mayor Bailiffs & the Free Burgesses of the Town & Liberties of Carnarvon in the County of Carnarvon held at the Guild Hall on Tuesday the (......) day of (......) 1821 do on their Oath present the following Encroachments & nuisances within the said Town & Liberties aforesaid
1st.
That (......) Griffith of Carnarvon widow has erected on part of her House situate in Newgate St in the said Town of Carnarvon a place to keep a Dunghill & thereby encroached upon the King's Common Highway in the street Therefore it is ordered that the said (......) Griffith do remove the said erection & restore the said King's Common Highway to its former the state it was in before the said erection was made on or before the (......) day of (......) under the Penalty of £
2d.
That Rob Williams of Carnarvon afrd carter has created a Step in front of his dwelling house situate in Newgate Street afrd which projects to & encroaches upon the Kings Common Highway in the sd Street therefore it is ordered that the said Rob Williams do remove the sd erection & restore the sd Kings Common Highway to the state it was in -/06

That a certain part of the Kings Common Highway leading from Boot Street into Bangor Street in the said Town of Carnarvon has been shut up & enclosed by Wm Griffith of Carnarvon afrd Mariner Therefore &c
4th.
That there was formerly another piece of ground unenclosed situate upon the North Quay in the said Town of Carnarvon which the Corporation of the Borough of Carnarvon had the Right of Soil & the Public had a free right of Passage over it & that Robt Roberts of Carnarvon afrd Esq. hath erected Sail Room a Building thereon called a Sail Room & also a Dw Houses which are commonly called Bank Buildings Therefore &c
5th.
That there was formerly an open piece of Ground unenclosed situate on the North East side of the sd Bank Buildings in the said Town of Carnarvon to which the Corporation of the Borough of Carnarvon had the Right of Soil & the Public had a free Right of Passage over it & that Richd Garnons of Carnarvon afrd Esq hath created Dw Houses thereon Therefore &c

The late Presentment (...?...) Dw Houses erected by Rev H Jones - Saml Lloyd Hugh Jones & Ed Griffith
7th. 10th.
That Mr Richard Griffith the late Mr Richard Griffith of Carnarvon afrd decead in his life time erected a Step before a Dw House in Northern Penrallt St in the said Town of Carnarvon now in the Occupation of Mr Preece which projects to (...?...) upon the Kings Common Highway in that Street & that the sd Dwelling house is now the Property of Mr Rowd Griffith son of the sd Richard Griffith Therefore &c

That there was formerly a piece of Ground unenclosed commencing at the gable end of the late Mr John Morris's Houses at the extremity of the sd Northern Penrallt Street & determining at or near Twthill Lodge in the Occupation of (...?...) which said piece of unenclosed ground adjoining to a certain field the Property of The Most Noble the Marquis of Anglesey & to which piece of ground the Corporation of the Borough of Carnarvon had the Right of Soil & the Public had a free Right of Passage over it & that George Bettiss of Carnarvon aforesaid Innholder hath enclosed the sd piece of Ground & erecting a Wall between it & the Public Highway Therefore &c

That there was formerly a piece of Ground unenclosed within the Liberties of the said Borough commencing at the Corner of Twthill Lodge afrd and determining at the Farm & Outbuildings the Property of Richard Garnons Esq which sd piece of unenclosed Ground adjoining to a certain Field the Property of Rice Thomas Esq & to which piece of Ground the Corporation of the Borough of Carnarvon had the Right of Soil & the Public had a free Right of passage over it & that the sd Geo Bettiss hath enclosed the sd piece of Ground by erecting a Wall between it & the Public Highway Therefore &c

That a certain part of the King's Common Highway leading from a certain House called (......) down to a certain River called Afon Cadnant has been shut up and enclosed by Anthony Dillon of Carnarvon afrd Seedsman Therefore &c
11th. 14th.
That John Owen of Carnarvon afrd Shoemaker sevl years ago rebuilt two Dw houses in Southern Penrallt St in the sd town of Carnarvon & that in rebuilding such Houses he encroached upon the Kings Common Highway to the extent of (......) feet Therefore &c
12th. 15th.
That a certain Lane being part of the King's Common Highway leading from Pool Street to the Mill Pool has been shut up & enclosed by Evan Parry Shopkeeper & Wm Roberts Surgeon (...?...) of Carnarvon afrd Therefore &c
13th. 16th.
That there was formerly a piece of Ground unenclosed within the Liberties of the said Borough commencing at the entrance out of Pool Street & determining at the Tythe Barn which said piece of unenclosed Ground adjoins to a certain Field the Property of The Right Honourable Lord Newborough to which piece of Ground the Corporation of the Borough of Carnarvon had the Right of Soil & the Public had a free Right of passage over it & that the sd Robert Roberts Esq hath enclosed the sd piece of Ground by erecting a Wall between it & the Public Highway Therefore &c
14th. 17th.
That Hugh Hughes of Carnarvon afrd Shipwright sevl years ago enclosed a piece of Ground belonging to the Corporation which in a Sloping direction between Love lane & the New Road leading from the Quay to Pontsaint which said piece of Ground hath been since converted into Gardens by the said Hugh Hughes or his Tenants Therefore &c
15th. 18th.
That Thomas Jones of Bryntirion Esq has encroached upon the Corporation Property in building the Machine Cottage to the extent of (......) Yards in heighth & (......) Yards in Breadth more than the Premises comprised in the lease granted to him by the Corporation Therefore &c
16th. 19th.
That the way formerly a public South East entrance or gateway being the Kings Common Highway leading into Hole in the Wall St in the sd Town of Carnarvon commonly called Greengate way & that such entrance or gateway has been shut up by the late Wm Roberts of Carnarvon afrd Plumber & Glazier by erecting sevl Dw Houses on a piece of Ground adjoining to such entrance or Passage & that Hugh Roberts of Carnarvon sfrd Shopkeeper is the Acting Trustee & has the management of the sd Dwelling houses during the tenancy of the Children of the sd Wm Roberts Therefore &c
