Borough of Carnarvon to wit:
View of Frankpledge there holden the 6th day of November in the second year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord Geo: the 4th. by the Grace of God of the united Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and in the year of our Lord 1821 Before Owen A. Poole Esqr. Steward thereof.
Jurors for the King
First
The Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath say present that the Mayor Bailiffs and free Burgesses of the Borough and their Successors are Lords of the said Borough and are possessed or entitled to them and their successors for ever of in & to the Land or Soil of all the Waste Lands and Commons within the Circuit and Precincts of the said Borough and its liberties.
And the Jurors aforesaid further say present that a certain piece or parcel of Land situate upon the north Quay in this Borough is part of the Waste Lands of the said Borough whereof the said Mayor Bailiffs and Burgesses are seized in Fee to them and their successors for ever.
And the Jurors afrd. further say present that from time whereof the Memory of Man is not to the Contrary the said piece of Waste Ground has been and is a Common public Wharf or landing place from whence - and upon which all the King's Subjects are entitled to Ship & unship Goods Wares and Merchandize into and out of Ship & Vessels in the River Menai lying Contigious Hereto and that during all the time afrd. all his Majesty's Subjects have enjoyed and of right ought to enjoy the Right of Passing and repassing over the sd. parcel of Waste Land with Waggons Carts and Horses and Merchandize to and from such River Ships and Vessels lying or riding therein.
And the Jurors aforesaid further say that Robert Roberts of Carnarvon afrd. Esqr. hath erected a Building thereon called a Sail Room and also Eight Dwelling houses which are commonly called Bank Buildings to the Common Nuisance of all his Majesty's Subjects.
Second
And the Jurors afrd. upon their Oath afrd. further present that a certain Common Highway leading from a certain other Common Highway called Boot street within the said Borough into a certain Common Highway called Bangor Street in the said Borough the Memory of Man is not to the contrary hath been a Common Highway and that William Griffith of Carnarvon afrd. Mariner has lately made a purpresture therein and has lately shut up and inclosed a part thereof to the Common nuisance of all the King's Subjects.
Third
And the Jurors afrd. upon their Oath afrd. further present that a certain Common Highway situate in the Borough afrd. and called Newgate Street is a Common Highway and has been from time whereof the Memory of Man is not to the Contrary and that Ellin Griffith of Carnarvon widow has made a purpresture upon said Common Highway in front of the Messe in her Occupation situate in Newgate Street aforesaid by inclosing a part of the said Common Highway for the Purpose of making and keeping a Dungheap or Muckheap therein to the Nuisance of all the King's Subjects.
Fourth
And the Jurors aforesaid upon their oath afrd. further present that Robt. Williams of Carnarvon Carter hath erected and placed a certain Stone Step upon the King's Common Highway called Newgate Street in front of and adjoining to his Dwelling house there to the Common Nuisance of all the King's Subjects.
Fifth
And the Jurors afrd. upon their Oaths afrd. further present that a certain Common Highway in this borough called Northern Penrallt Street is and from time whereof the memory of man is not to the Contrary has been a Common Highway and that Richard Griffith late of Carnarvon afrd. did in his life time erect & place & Rowland Griffith of Carnarvon afrd. hath continued a certain Stone Step in the said Common Highway adjoining his Dwelling House in the said street which encroached upon the said Common Highway in that street to the nuisance of all the King's Subjects.
Sixth
And the Jurors afrd. upon their Oaths aforesaid further present that John Owen of Carnarvon afrd. shoemaker hath encroached upon the sd. Common Highway called the Southern Penrallt Street in the said Borough by rebuilding a part of two Dwelling Houses in the sd. Street upon part of the said Common Highway called Southern Penrallt St to the Common Nuisance of all the Kings Subjects.
Seventh
And the Jurors afrd. upon their Oaths afrd. further present that a certain Common highway leading from Poolstreet in the sd. Borough to the Mill Poole in the sd. Borough is from time whereof the Memory of Man is not to the contrary has been a Common Highway and that Evan Evans Shopkeeper and Wm. Roberts Surgeon both of this Borough have encroached thereupon and inclosed a part thereof to the Common Nuisance of all the King's Subjects.
Eighth
And the Jurors afrd. upon their Oaths afrd. further present that there was at the Time of the Incroachment and nuisance next hereinafter found to have been made & erected & from time whereof the Memory of Man was not to the Contrary there had been at the South East entrance into the sd. Borough a Common Highway called Greengate way for all his Majesty's Subjects leading into a certain other Common Highway called Green Gate way has been encroached upon and enclosed by Wiliam Roberts late of Carnarvon afrd. Plumber & Glazier but now daed and that Hugh Roberts of Carnarvon afrd. Shop keeper has since the Death of the sd. Wm. Roberts continued such Encroachment and inclosure to the Common Nuisance of all his Majesty's Subjects.
