DEATH OF DR. W. J. WILLIAMS

We regret to announce the death of Dr. W. J. Williams, which took place at his residence, Ashley House, Llanbeblig-road, on Wednesday morning. Dr. Williams, who was 60 years of age, was a son of the late Alderman W. P. Williams, at one time Mayor of the borough. A native of Carnarvon, Dr. Williams had been in practise in the town for a period of thirty-three years, and during this time he had acted as medical officer to the Port Sanitary Authority, to the parish of Llanbeblig, to the infectious disease hospital, to the staff of the 4th. Batt. R. W. F., and to the Foresters' Society. Owing to failing health he retired from active practice some two years ago, and the offices vacated by him were filled by Dr. Tom Roberts. Dr. Williams leaves a widow and two daughters (Mrs. R. Lloyd Jones and Miss Eva Williams), with whom there is much sympathy.

THE LATE DR. W. J. WILLIAMS

The remains of the late Dr. W. J. Williams, Llanbeblig-road, were interred at Llanbeblig Churchyard on Saturday morning, the Revs. Evan Jones and D. O'Brien Owen officiating. The following was the order of the cortege:- First carriage: Messrs. R. R. Roberts, Bryn Helen; G. Jackson, Bod Helen, Bontnewydd; Drs. Fraser and Tom Roberts. Hearse. Second carriage: Dr. R. A. Williams, Ogmore Vale, Glam., and Dr. J. D. Williams, Cardiff (brothers); Mr. O. Cecil Jones, Portdinorwic (nephew); Mr. R. Lloyd Jones, Bryn Awen (son-in-law); and Mr. E. R. Owen, Bod Suren, Anglesey (cousin). Wreaths were sent by the following:- Mrs. and Miss Williams, Ashley House; Mr. and Mrs. R. Lloyd Jones, Bryn Awen; Dr. and Mrs. Williams, Ogmore Vale; Mr. Hugh Jones and family, 26, Pool-street; Dr. and Mrs. Tom Roberts, Castle-square; Mr. Robert Jones, 44, Hendre-street; the maids at Ashley House and Bryn Awen; Mr. Parry, Bodfan; Nurse Owen, Union Hospital; Mr. and Mrs. Closs Davies, Castle-square; Mrs. Parry and family, 15, Castle-square; and Mr. and Mrs. S. Swaine. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Messrs. Pierce and Williams, Golden Goat, and Messrs. John Lloyd and Sons, Eleanor-street.

OBITUARIES

On Tuesday, the death took place of Mr. Williams Williams, picture-frame manufacturer, 19, Pool-street. Mr. Williams, who was a native of Dolgelley, was a faithful member of St. Mary's Church, and was a warden of that church for some years. He leaves a widow and son, with whom much sympathy is felt. - On Saturday, the death took place of Mr. Richard Hughes, formerly a millwright in the employ of the London and North-Western Railway Company, at his residence, 2, Sping-place. He was 76 years of age. Deceased was a well-known figure in the town, and was a constant attendant at the Free Library. He had retired from the railway service some years ago.

DEATH OF MR. CHARLES KENNY

We regret to record the death of Mr. Charles Kenny, which took place at 16, Hole-in-the-Wall-street, on Sunday. Mr. Kenny was a compositor by trade, but had to seek lighter employment lately on account of his ill-health. Consequently he opened a newsagent's shop at Palace-street. He suffered a long illness. At one time Mr. Kenny was a prominent member of the Carnarvon Amateur Dramatic Company. He was a faithful member of the Roman Catholic Church in town. The funeral (public) took place yesterday afternoon at Glanadda Cemetery, Bangor. Much sympathy is felt with his wife and family in their bereavement.

OBITUARY

On Thursday the death took place of Mrs. Evans, Idan House, at the age of 84 years. She is the wife of the late Mr. Josiah Evans, pork butcher, Pool-street.

OBITUARY

On Thursday morning the death took place of Mr. James Barlow, 2, Crown-street. He was 74 years, and had long been a well-known figure in town. He was for some years the custodian of the Carnarvon Rowing Club Boathouse. Deceased was a member of Moriah Church. Great sympathy is felt with the widow and family in their bereavement.

FUNERALS

The remains of Mr. James Barlow (sen.), Crown-street, whose death was announced in our last week's issue, were interred at Llanbeblig Churchyard on Tuesday afternoon. The funeral was very largely attended. The Rev. W. Hobley officiated at the house, and the Rev. D. E. G. Lloyd, B. A. (curate) at the church. The deceased's Sunday School class acted as bearers. A great number of wreaths had been sent. Great sympathy is felt with the widow (who is a daughter of the late Mr. Robert Williams, flour merchant, Turf-square, Carnarvon, and a sister of the late Mrs. Simon Fraser) and family in their bereavement. - On Wednesday morning the funeral took place of the late Miss Williams, licensee of the Newborough Arms, Palace-street.

OBITUARY

The death took place on Wednesday of Mr. William Jones, Bodafon Temperance, Castle Ditch. Mr. Jones, who was only 39 years of age, was the manager of Messrs. Jones and Owen's slate works, Carnarvon. He was a member of the Salem Congregational Chapel.

DEATH OF MR. ISAAC WILLIAMS

The death took place this (Friday) morning, at an advanced age, of Mr. Isaac Williams, Ty'ncei, builder and contractor. Mr. Williams, who came to this town many years ago from Aberystwyth, was a deacon at the Pendref Congregational Chapel. He leaves a son and several daughters, with whom there is much sympathy.
