Doctor William Roberts, Uxbridge Terrace, who married Anne, daughter of Mr. Gabriel Davies, Bala. He died 26th. July 1849. He was the son of Capt. John Roberts, Garneddwen, Anglesey; and brother to Mr. Griffith Roberts, Garneddwen, and to the wife of the Rev. Richard Lloyd, Beaumaris. His brother Griffith married Miss Elizabeth Watkins, Muriau, Criccieth; their children are: Watkin, Doctor, Uxbridge Terrace; William, Wine Merchant, Palace Street; John, Birkenhead; Griffith, Brynheli; Morris, Garneddwen; David, Doctor, London; Charles, Manchester; and Eliza, wife of Mr. David Evans, Custom House, Caernarfon. Capt. John Roberts, the doctor's father, was brother to Capt. Morris Roberts, Caernarfon; Mrs. Jane Jones, Bontfaen; and Mrs. Alice Griffith, wife of Capt. William Griffith, Y Foryd. The roots of the above family have been at Y Foryd for many years.
